The Delines are proud to present their first single in three years, Little Earl the opening track of the album The Sea Drift, is out today (7” and digital) accompanied by a music video. Written by songwriter and author Willy Vlautin, and performed by lead singer Amy Boone, Little Earl is the first track from a collection of songs The Delines describe as “songs and stories found drifting up and down the Gulf Coast.” “The idea for the THE SEA DRIFT began with my and Amy’s mutual love of Tony Joe White,” says Delines guitarist and songwriter Willy Vlautin. “We used to have conversations about his records and she’d always joke, ‘Just write me Rainy Night in Georgia.’ Jesus, what a tall order, but I guess in my own way I started trying.
